JPDC Spring Recital 2019
Sunday, May 19th
"BOOGIE NIGHTS"
Levels I-VII - Spring Recital 
 

 

Saturday – May 18th – Dress Rehearsal for All Levels/Classes I-VII @ SMWHS

  • 12:45pm - Everyone report back stage and begin to stretch, please arrive with hair and make-up done.

  • 1:00pm - (approximately) - PARENT DANCE for both Recitals - Parents we are asking you to be ready to go on stage at 1:00pm - we will run your dance at this time.  Please be patient.

  • 1:15pm - EVERYONE on stage in your recital tshirt to take JPDC studio picture & then watch year-end memory highlight video. Wear jazz,  ballet shoes or tennis shoes. 

  • 1:30-3:30pm - (approximately) - We will start with FINALE and then the first number and go in order of the show.

 

You may take pictures and video at Dress Rehearsal only. Once all of your dance/dances have ran you may leave.  SO EXCITED TO GIVE THE STUDENTS AN OPPORTUITY TO PERFORM AND MAKE SOME WONDERFUL MEMORIES!

 

Sunday – 3:00pm - May 19th  at SMWHS

 

Part I - All Classes Level I-VII – (Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Tumbling, etc)

  •  - If you are only in Part II please be in your dressing rooms ready to go no later than 3:30pm.(*Cleopatra will begin following a short intermission at the conclusion of "Boogie Nights"). If You are only in Part I please arrive by 2:30pm.

 

Part II – “Cleopatra” - Ballet Academy + Ballet Levels I-Ballet VII
*see schedule posted under Ballet Academy tab

  • 10:00-11:00am – Company rehearsals for opener and other numbers

  • 11:00am - If you are in the Ballet Academy & Ballet Levels I-VII – Arrive at 11:00am.   Please be dressed in your ballet class uniform.  Run through will run approximately 11-12:30pm;

  • 4:30pm - (approximately) show will begin after a short intermisson of "Boogie Nights".

 

 

**You may take pictures and video at Dress Rehearsal only. Once all of your dance/dances have ran you may leave.

Costume Check List For:  

Ballet Classes & Ballet Academy- see "Cleopatra" tab.

 

 

SHOES –

Tap - Black tie up tap shoes for all tap Classes;

Ballet – Pink Ballet Shoes or Pointe Shoes;

Jazz – Caramel Jazz Shoes;

Contemporary/Lyrical/Modern -– Caramel jazz Shoes;

Hip Hop – Mostly white tennis shoes or converse

 

 

TIGHTS –

Ballet – Capezio Ballet Pink Tights

All other classes (except Hip Hop) – Caramel Capezio Fishnet tights

 

 

HAIR –

All dance students in Part II of "Boogie Nights" - low slicked back ponytail; with a center part *Ballet students will change hair from low ponytail to low bun with center part during intermission

 

 

MAKE UP –

Girls will wear red lipstick, blush and mascara

 

 

**Reminder – you will need all  shoes, tights and hair ready to go for Recital Photos on Friday, May 10th & Saturday, May 11th, 2019! Photo schedule posted under the Photo tab.
